Below is a selection of what our customers and partners had to say about NovaSparks.

Michal Sanak, CIO at RSJ

Another example from the past year is RSJ's installation of pure field programmable gate array (FPGA)-enabled feed handlers from NovaSparks. "There, too, we realized that it's good for us to focus on things that we feel we're unique at, and not building everything ourselves. Five years ago, if someone came to me with a handler claiming to be faster than ours, transferring between the network card and operating system, I would have been skeptical," Sanak says. "But every time I talk to them, I'm surprised to find how well they know what they're doing, and listening to us to design for what we need."

Etienne Dubuc, Head of Equity Derivatives Trading

"Integrating the NovaSparks technology in our trading architecture has allowed us to benefit from the ultra-low latency and determinism that only a pure FPGA solution can deliver" says Etienne Dubuc. "NovaSparks solutions come with scalability, flexibility and innovation" added Dubuc.

Andrew Housden, Vice President, Capital Markets at Colt

"Capital Markets firms face significant challenges to remain competitive. A number of our customers have expressed interest in a managed FPGA market data solution, combining ultra-low latency and flexibility to help them succeed – and without upfront investment costs. At Colt, we thrive on putting customers first and setting the benchmark for customer experience. That’s why we are pleased to bring to market this cost-effective solution that addresses our customers’ requirements and further enhances the Colt Capital Markets portfolio"

Stephane Tyc, co-founder of Quincy Data

"This upgrade allows QED users to benefit from the low latency and determinism that only a pure FPGA solution can deliver" says Stephane Tyc. "NovaSparks solutions do not only bring speed, they also come with a rich set of features and functionalities that are typically found only in software feed-handlers", added Tyc.

Peter Lankford

Peter Lankford, STAC Director

"The tests are specified by trading firms and represent challenging scenarios based on their experiences in the real world" stated Peter Lankford. "The tests rigorously measure 'wire-to-memory' latency, leaving nowhere to hide," adds Lankford.

Peter is commenting about the STAC-M1TM benchmark used to independantly audit NovaSparks solution. The benchmark includes all the tasks to receive, build and maintain a full depth of book starting at the time the first byte of the packet is received by the system. The specification provides a reproducible framework for measuring the performance of traditional software-based solutions as well as pure FPGA solutions like NovaSparks. NovaSparks STAC report is public and available for download at the link below.
